At Purity, we understand that many people are unwilling to visit the dentist due to dental phobia or anxiety. Often patients can feel at ease when treatments are talked through in detail but for those who need further support we can offer intravenous sedation. This involves having an injection in your arm or hand to help make you feel relaxed and peaceful through your treatment.

Your breathing, pulse and blood pressure are monitored during treatment and at the end of the session you will be allowed to recover until you are fit enough to be discharged home. You will need a responsible adult to take you home and stay with you for the rest of the day.

Sedation has helped many patients here at Purity overcome their fears and now most of them no longer require it for routine treatment.
